Chapter Eight: Infatuation

The Choices of Roses and Ice

Blue windows to your soul,
Bottomless and cold,
Daydreaming from afar,
Crab rebel in mask's hole.

Gemstones with opaque glances,
Meanings awash in a storm;
Adoring from afar,
Rejection halting all chances.

Feelings hidden in shadows deep,
Surrounded by myriad friends,
Craving from afar,
All the myths people keep.

So confident and self-assured,
Emotions black and white,
Forever from afar,
My heart a ship that's moored.

Unveiling my desire that's born,
Glimmers of freedom's kiss,
Fantasia from afar,
Lost in the new dawn.

  A rare bird

I have misplaced something,
In the touching and becoming,
Briefly, such blushing,
But it isn't you.

Rare birds fly alone,
An irresistible lodestone,
Someone's milestone,
Dreams of you are of me.
